Brad Renton, 7 Everyday Hero! |
Brad Renton, who is a very involved volunteer with the Rocky Mountain Chapter, was recently recognized as a 7 Everyday Hero by Denver’s Channel 7 (ABC). Brad lost his wife, Deb, to ALS in December of 2007, and has been a tireless crusader for ALS for many years.
The segment will air on the following days/times:
Sunday September 6 at 10pm
Monday September 7 at 5am
Thursday September 10 at 11am
Friday September 11 at 4pm
Saturday September 12 at 5pm
Sunday September 13 at 7am
“Brad has helped immensely in helping provide funding for local patient services and research efforts for ALS. Not only does he make contributions, but his walk team, “Renton’s Walkers”, is consistently one of the top fundraisers in the ALS walks. Through getting his and other communities involved, Brad has helped improve the quality of life for ALS patients and helped create hope that we will someday find a cure for this horrendous disease.”
“Brad inspires his community by example… (he) draws out the passion in others”
“Brad's passion is raising as much funding as possible for all events. He helps plan the walk and its kickoff events, he fundraises and builds his walk team to be fundraisers as well and he volunteers his time the day of the walk for set-up, clean-up and everything in-between. If that isn’t enough, he also works with a local print shop to create and print the Deb’s Angel window decal.”
“(He) educates families and friends in how they can help and support the individual stricken with ALS, as well as their caretakers.”
“He will stop at nothing to help others and to find a cure for ALS.”
