You Can Make a Difference - Become a Volunteer!

At The ALS Association – Rocky Mountain Chapter, volunteers are the driving force behind our organization. Through involvement in our special events, administrative office-based projects, education outreach efforts, patient services and our many committees, volunteers significantly contribute to the association’s mission to provide support for those living with ALS today and to find a cure for this disease.

Every event organized and service provided throughout the year by The ALS Association – Rocky Mountain Chapter would not be possible without the generosity of spirit of hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Through projects ranging from representing the Rocky Mountain Chapter at various health fairs and in our community to providing administrative support in our office to planning and coordinating fundraising events like the Walk to Defeat ALS, volunteers make a difference in the lives of those living with ALS.

Opportunities include:

Extra Hands - student & adult volunteers are matched with people with ALS to provide home visits for companionship, friendship and non-medical assistance.
Equipment Delivery - Our community-based patient services programs include a durable medical equipment loan closet. We need help delivering equipment big or small, everything from reclining lift chairs to bed canes.
Office Help - We often need daytime office help with data entry, phone work and envelope labeling and stuffing.
Event Support - Events can not happen without volunteer support. Our annual events include Sunset in the Park and The Walk to Defeat ALS. We need help prior to all events as well as on event day, and there are a variety of jobs available.
Committee Service - Volunteer committees help with planning events, gathering silent auction items and helping with chapter business. Many of the committees work directly with the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors - The Board of Directors is the volunteer governing body providing the direction and the driving force behind all of the Rocky Mountain Chapter's activities. If you are interested, please fill out an application.
