The focus of The ALS Association Research department is to fund and facilitate research to find a meaningful therapy for ALS. The research department is made up of a network of over 300 scientists and clinicians world-wide, working on about 100 projects at any one time. The ALS Association has collaborates with others in the academic arena, along with government and industry/biotech firms. They also motivate, encourage and mentor young investigators to join the field of ALS research.
Research funded by The ALS Association is of highest scientific merit and relevance to ALS. All proposals are peer reviewed, and the association maintains a diverse portfolio of national and international projects.
